Private Yoga

Susan Bernhardt gives private yoga lessons to individuals. The sessions are tailored to the individual's needs and desires. Susan teaches asana (physical practices) ranging from restorative and gentle yoga for those with limited mobility or injuries, to power-style yoga for those wanting a challenging workout. Private yoga may be valuable for anyone, from those with no yoga experience who are looking for a way to get started, to experienced yogis who want advice on aspects of their practice, to expand their practice in new directions, or to receive individual attention often unavailable in group classes.

Depending on an individual's preference, private yoga sessions can include, or focus on, yoga practices other than asana, such as pranayama (breath work), meditation, chanting, mantra, or study of yoga philosophy.

Susan also is available to teach yoga and to give workshops on Ayurveda and yoga to companies and other groups. As with individual sessions, group and corporate yoga can be customized to meet specific needs and desires. For example, sessions can include breathing and meditation practices to reduce stress and increase focus, yoga poses that can be done in a business suit while seated at a desk to alleviate discomfort in the back, neck, and shoulders, more vigorous asana classes, or discussion of Ayurvedic guidance on diet and lifestyle.
