 Ayurveda has a fair bit to say about water - when to drink it, how much, what temperature. Sometimes, changing things as simple as when you drink water and what the temperature is can have quite significant effects, such as reducing heartburn or easing constipation. Today's focus is on part of the "when" question. It's best to sip water durng meals, around a cup total, and not drink large quantities during or right after meals. Why? In nontechnical terms, too much water with food in the stomach will interfere with the digestive process of breaking down the food.
