100 Steps

Chalk up another one for Ayurveda. Ayurveda has long said to take a walk after a meal to improve the digestion - 100 steps will do the trick. Western medicine has now weighed in. Studies show that taking a short walk after a meal improves digestion and helps control blood sugar. Finding time for a walk after lunch may seem difficult, but feeling better and more productive in the afternoon can easily make up for 5 to 10 minutes spent walking. Give it a try!
